Germany needs doctors from abroad. To ensure that they can not only communicate in everyday life, but also with patients and colleagues without misunderstandings, they must pass a so-called Fachsprachprüfung when applying for a license to practice medicine in Germany.
The Fachsprachprüfung includes the simulation of a doctor-patient interview, the written documentation of a patient case and a doctor-doctor interview.
The prerequisite for this is language skills at C1 level.
During the preparation for the Fachsprachprüfung, you will learn different types of communication in a medical context. This means you will learn
In the preparation course, you will be prepared for the Fachsprachprüfung. Using medical history interviews, conversations with nursing staff or colleagues, writing medical letters and various other situations, you will not only learn the relevant “language”, but also the necessary vocabulary and important phrases. We attach great importance to ensuring that you can communicate fluently and confidently in the respective situation and also work on your pronunciation.
The lessons take place online in a private course. On request, lessons can also be held in small groups of up to three people.
The preparation course is divided into modules so that you can book individual subject areas. Each of these modules comprises 6 teaching units of 60 minutes each.

This preparatory course for the Fachsprachprüfung is aimed at doctors from abroad. The entire course lasts 144 TE (teaching units) of 60 minutes each. The duration of the course depends on the number of units per week you wish to take. It is possible to complete the entire course with all 24 modules in 8 weeks. This would then require 4.5 teaching units per week spread over 4 days.
The times can be arranged so that participants from other time zones also have the opportunity to work with Lingue Mondiali.
The prerequisite for participation in these FSP preparation courses from Lingue Mondiali is a proven language level B2 according to GER and a degree in medicine.
The course requires regular, intensive self-study. The Lingue Mondiali interactive self-learning platform is available for this purpose.
If you do not yet have language level B2, you can book a German language course at Lingue Mondiali and the lessons will be tailored to the medical part from the outset, if this is possible.
The use of the interactive self-learning platform is included in the booking of modules for the preparation for the FSP. You will receive access to the relevant exercises for the modules you have booked. Access is active for 1 month from receipt of payment for the module.
Access to the interactive self-learning platform can be subscribed to independently of booking a module. One month costs €40 and is automatically extended by a further month unless the user cancels.
